I am truly fortunate to have been mentored by some of the finest casting instructors and anglers on the planet, both single hand and two hand. After teaching flycasting for over 20 years, I still truly enjoy teaching the art and science of flycasting to all skill levels to who wish to learn the craft of fly angling.

ABOUT
I have been a worldwide fly fishing industry professional since 2000. I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to work on some of the finest watersheds in Oregon, Washington, Northern California, New Zealand, Montana, and Alaska over those years. It is my intent as a guide to offer clients a trip that is experience and instruction based, and I choose those venues accordingly.
My goal for my clients to participate in angling in the most skilled and dignified manner as possible, with the utmost respect for the environment, other anglers, and most of all...the fish. We are seeking moments, not just numbers.
The same philosophy goes for my hosted travel program. I've been hosting fresh and saltwater trips for over 15 years. My groups are seeking out compelling fresh and saltwater destinations that have an appeal both on and off the water. We are discerning anglers looking to challenge our skills at a high level on the water, and experience interesting food, culture, and atmosphere while while having fun traveling with like minded individuals.
Captain DAX MESSETT is also the US Sales Representative for Nam Products, Simms Ambassador, and Airflo Ambassador. I am available for club presentations, casting clinics, and casting demos for events.
