California's Fall River Valley
The finest spring creek fishery on the planet
There is no venue more ideal than Northern California’s famed Fall River to perfect your spring creek angling skills. Here you will fish with expert guides who honor the history and tradition of this iconic spring creek fishery. The Fall River Valley is home to the largest spring creek system in North America. Since 2001, Dax Messett has guided anglers here on what he considers to be the most unique and challenging spring creek fishery on the planet. Every May and June he returns to his favorite technical trout fishery to head hunt for these famed large wild rainbows, primarily with dry flys and sinking lines.

Quigley's Lodge on Upper Fall River
Experience the most exclusive riverfront accommodation, superb meals, and dry fly fishing experience available on the uppermost section of the Fall River.
Access is extremely limited on the Fall River, and throughout the years Dax and his experienced guide team have acquired multiple accesses on all reaches of the river system. This ensures that their clients have the best opportunity to experience the best of what this amazing spring creek system as a whole has to offer. With our instruction based guide team you will fish the Fall in the traditional manner: from an anchored boat, actually casting and making presentations to one of the best native wild rainbow strains of trout on the planet.
Formerly known as the famed Rick’s Lodge and Spinnerfall Lodge, the newly named Quigley’s is steeped in tradition and not open to the public. This is truly an exclusive experience, limited to just 6 anglers per group.
